Los Angeles Rams made commercial calls on ‘probably’ nine players

Wrapping up an ugly 5-12 campaign a season after winning the Super Bowl, Los Angeles Rams GM Les Snead tried to emphasize that the Rams were remodeling, not rebuilding. This is despite the fact that Los Angeles has already launched Pro Bowl winger Bobby Wagner and will most likely trade star winger Jalen Ramsey in the very near future.

There are several other Rams members that may also be on the block, including the Allen Robinson wide receiver and the Leonard Floyd edge crusher.

Snead made no secret when speaking to the media, pointing out that the team “probably called up nine players” this season, adding that “[w]e called a lot of our players. I, maybe other places are trying to figure out what we’re doing with the big picture and things like that.”

Los Angeles now finds itself over its $14.54 million salary cap. It must become relevant before the start of the new league year on March 15. The Ramsey trade won’t quite do that. Other moves are needed.

In addition to Ramsey, Robinson and Floyd, the Rams can listen to offers for several other veteran players, including Joseph Noteboom, Tyler Higbee, Brian Allen and Cam Akers.

Snead has made it clear that he sees the three players as a key part of the team’s future success. The names are predictable enough: Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald.
