A look back at the best and worst uniforms for every NFL team

Nearly a quarter of the NFL has changed its uniforms in 2020. That makes it the best time to review the best and worst of every team in their respective histories. We’re limiting this to the Super Bowl era, when NFL fashion started to evolve, but older designs worn by teams as second-hand items were included. The choices are specific, with home or away uniform images being selected for each franchise.

Arizona Cardinals Best Picture : 1989-93 go
We started with the red-and-white away kit of the Phoenix Cardinals at the time. What struck the home of Aeneas Williams-Jake Plummer: the Arizona state flag on the sleeve. Louis in 1988 but did not use the fold until ’89. Its introduction in five seasons gave the team some additional flair. And let’s face it: The Cardinals of the ’90s wore some pretty basic home uniforms. Rod Tidwell spent most of “Jerry Maguire” in the red shirt, but in the middle of the clip, there’s a clip of the brooding man sprinting to encounter the white shirt.

Arizona Cardinals Worst Look: 2005-present
The Cardinals abandoned their perennial uniform in 2005, switching to a uniform that is not as outdated as their previous uniforms. These rims, particularly unhappy about the team’s white on-road design, have seen the passage of time. Unfortunately, Larry Fitzgerald had to wear these for all but one season of his Hall of Fame career. The random red on the shoulder pads doesn’t help the Arizona cause. The Kyler Murray era needs a rebrand soon.

Atlanta Falcons best pictures : 1978-89 home field
This is probably a dissenting opinion, but the Falcons looked sharp in the home reds of the 1980s. Before Atlanta came out with the famous black-gray look when black fan Jerry Glanville arrived in five. 1990, its gray-red outfit – complete with a black logo on the sleeves and an underrated helmet – appeared in one of the top NFL uniforms of the era. Falcons that aren’t particularly good at wearing these uniforms shouldn’t detract from the design’s place in history. Unfortunately these topics have not seen the light of day since 1989.

Atlanta Falcons worst form: 2003-2019 away
Atlanta’s unified timeline and map closely resemble that of Arizona. The team appeared in Super Bowl XXXIII in signature 1990s style and saw Michael Vick stun the Packers in the 2002 roster round in that design. But in 2003, the Falcons introduced the concept. As for lane uniforms that have team colors placed in random locations, they’re both unflattering and unnecessarily complicated at the same time. The jury is still out on the franchise’s radical 2020 redesign, but they could represent a slight improvement to this bottom line look.

The best view of the Baltimore Ravens : Color Rush 2016-19
Yellow in Raven’s palette saw action in a memorable 2015 game (for uniform purposes) against the Captains, and while that didn’t go smoothly, the outfit Baltimore’s color rush makes up for that. Purple isn’t the easiest color to match, but Ravens’ est.-2016 purple (feat. gold) skin does. The crow count has never been nicer and the team – equipped with the MVP quarterback in Lamar Jackson – should consider switching to this full-time instead of the slightly more prized Ray Lewis-era design. However, the team’s failure to wear these in 2020 is worrisome. A unified subplot for oversight in 2021.
